Mike was raised in the automotive industry. From his earliest days assisting his dad at their Honda Dealership, Mike has learned customer service from the ground up.

Mike's experience runs deep as he was trained as a mechanic, but also held roles as a Parts Manager and a Service Manager. Mike understands all aspects of a dealership and customer service. His hard work and dedication came to the attention of Honda Canada executives and he was recognized as the top Parts & Service Manager in Canada.

With almost three decades in the automotive industry Mike decided to make a move to RV's by joining The Hitch House team. Mike is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and when he is not at The Hitch House you can usually find him racing his 2001 Honda CBR 600F4i motorcycle at Mosport or Shannonville.

When you contact Mike you are welcome to use his tag line from racing, "Knee on the ground rubber side down".

    donkaras@thehitchhouse.com

Before Don started here at The Hitch House he was already familiar with RVing - as he was a former travel trailer enthusiast.

Don has a strong sales and business background as he was an owner/operator in his furniture stores. Don was immediately successful in the RV industry due in no small part to his experience in retail and his vast background in customer service.

Not only has Don been awarded the coveted Monaco Coach Ring for recognition of his sales achievements but his customers truly appreciate him. Just browse our testimonials and you will see the many letters to Don.

To know Don is to know that Don loves to host special occasions. He is The Hitch House's informal staff social convener and a master caterer.

    HE'S BACK!!!

Most of our customers will remember Darrell, you see he has a long history with The Hitch House.  Darrell first joined The Hitch House in early 2002 and he was very successful in our sales department.  In fact, when the Hitch House first became a Monaco dealer in 2003 Darrell sold the very first Monaco.  He was so successful with selling Monaco motorhomes he was rewarded by Monaco with a gold Monaco sales ring.

Darrell has always enjoyed the outdoors.  He enjoys fishing and whenever he got the opportunity he would fish for salmon locally.  He is actually a pretty good angler.  In 2006 Darrell found a retreat that would satisfy his enthusiasm for the outdoors.  A small, secluded cabin on 70+ acres near Barry's Bay became Darrell and his wife's sanctuary.  Then in late 2008 Darrell and Mary decided to move to their cabin in the middle of nowhere.  I mean in the middle of nowhere.  His cabin wasn't even on the electrical grid.  We affectionately referred to Darrell as Jeremiah Johnson.  His brother Don (also a Hitch House sales person) thought he was just plain crazy.

During his hiatus Darrell stayed in touch with The Hitch House and from time to time you could find Darrell back here working on the sales floor.  Early in 2012 Darrell contacted us to seriously talk about returning to the Barrie area and working for the Hitch House permanently.  Apparently his thirst for the wilderness had been quenched.  Darrell had an offer on his cabin and was selling it to return to Barrie to be closer to his children and grandchildren.  You really can't blame him.

If you are one of Darrell's former customers he would love to hear from you.  If you are experiencing The Hitch House for the first time, you can count on Darrell's experience and customer service.  Not too mention he is just a real nice guy.

  • Chris Mckee
    Chris Mckee
    1 (888) 378-7118

    cmckee@thehitchhouse.com

Don't let this young man's age fool you folks he is a seasoned Motorhome professional.  You see, Chris has over 10 years in this industry working at the Hitch House.  Chris can honestly say he worked his way up through the dealership.  Starting in High School, Chris spent his weekends and evenings learning how to properly clean a motorhome from top to bottom.  He has worked in our Service Department, Parts Department, Business Office and his currently a member of our Sales Team.  Chris has also logged thousands of miles behind the wheel of a motorhome by delivering our Motorhomes to countless RV Shows and picking them up at our manufacturers' production facilities in the United States and returning the coaches to our store.

Chris is one of the most driven people I know.  He spent four years going to school full-time to acquire his Diploma in Automotive Marketing at Georgian College while working full-time at The Hitch House.  I suppose a career for Chris is actually relaxing compared to his previous schedule.  Under the guidance of our former Wholesale Manager, Derek Woods (29 year employee of The Hitch House) Chris acquired years of industry experience.  Chris has since taken over the management of The Hitch House Consignment Program left vacant by Derek's sudden passing.

When not at the Hitch House you can usually find Chris riding his Yamaha R1 to the nearest paintball facility.  If you have a chance drop in ask for Chris you will find him to be a pleasure to deal with.

  • Sean Dunlevy
    Sean Dunlevy

    sdunlevy@thehitchhouse.com

Along with Chris, Sean is an official member of our young sales club. However, Sean's technical knowledge is far from amateur. He has been in the RV industry for over 8 years, getting his start in the service department. Sean's first position with the Hitch House was washing motorhomes and then taking on the role of Dealership Runner. As Sean advanced with The Hitch House he was given the responsibility of coordinating factory pick-ups in Indiana from our manufacturers. Sean truly has driven them all.

Sean was later given the opportunity to design and implement the role of Tower Operator. As the Tower Operater, Sean was responsible for managing the incoming service work and effectively scheduling our service technicians to the appropriate jobs. Sean was very hands-on and would quite often personally handle repairs that did not require a technician.

In March of 2008, Sean was welcomed into the Sales Department and he has enjoyed every minute. After 6 years cutting his teeth in the service department, Sean truly understands the needs of the RV enthusiast. Test his knowledge you will be surprised.

    Business Manager
    Marilyn Clark
    1 (888) 378 - 7118

    mclark@thehitchhouse.com

Marilyn is our Business Office Manager.  Folks this is a gutsy lady that is not afraid of hard work or getting her hands dirty.  Just ask her how to wire a new home, she can tell you...you see her and her husband together built their own house - literally.

I think Marilyn always knew she was destined to work in the RV Industry.  Marilyn was raised on Manitoulin Island and spent her adolescent years working for Providence Bay Tent & Trailer park, so she has a great appreciation for the outdoors and our industry.  Working her way through college in the hospitality industry Marilyn learned that her first love was the public.  Marilyn's greatest strength undoubtedly is her ability to make people feel at ease.

As our Business Office Manager, Marilyn is responsible for arranging financing on the coach you have selected.  Top of mind to Marilyn, is confidentiality.  Your personal financial information is kept completely private.  As part of the service offerings of the Business Office, Marilyn provides insurance options, protection products for the exterior and interior of your coach, roadside assistance and extended warranty.

Now if you have find yourself sitting in Marilyn's office, congratulations you will obviously be the proud owner of a Hitch House motorhome.  You will also have a great opportunity...Marilyn is an extraordinary baker!

    CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR RETIREMENT!!!

After over 16 years of service at The Hitch House, Dave decided to retire.

Dave can now focus on all his multiple hobbies and interests.  Dave contributed many faithful years of service to The Hitch House and was a very successful sales person.  We will miss his unique sense of humour.  Dave could be very creative.  One particular time, Dave positioned a specialized set of speakers in a couple of offices allowing him to project a ghostly voice.  Then he would move the speakers randomly throughout the building (in staff only areas) thus convincing some members of our staff that The Hitch House was haunted.  Thanks for all the laughs Dave you are definitely one of a kind.

On behalf of the management and staff of The Hitch House we wish Dave and his wife Paula all the best.
