Doug Drover - Account Manager Canada - Newmar Corp.

In August of 1991 Doug and his father Dennis made a mutual agreement with Newmar to set up a dealer network across Canada. At this time, Newmar was a relatively unknown product in Canada and had limited exposure to the Canadian RVer.

This was an exciting time as Newmar had just introduced a slideout in a motorhome. Slideouts were nothing new for Newmar as they had pioneered them in towables throughout the eighties, but a slide in a motorhome? This was unheard of! The rest is history as the motorhome slideout revolutionized the motorhome industry!

Doug has literally spent countless miles traveling Canada from St. John's, Newfoundland to Victoria B.C. This was necessary to expand Newmar's Canadian business. Doug continues to travel frequently. A required destination is Newmar's manufacturing facilities in Nappanee, Indiana in order to keep up on the latest innovations, quality improvements and features. As Doug and his father Dennis grew Newmar's popularity so did their Canadian dealer network exposing more and more Canadian RVer's to Newmar's quality and products. In fact, Newmar received the very first Quality Circle Award from the RVDA.

Doug is the longest serving Newmar Account Manager. Consistency and dedication to his dealers, the Canadian retail customer and to Newmar underscore Doug's approach to his profession. Here are few interesting facts about our Newmar Account Manager. Doug was born and raised in Newfoundland. As Doug and his father Dennis expanded Newmar's Canadian dealership network it became too cumbersome to manage the business from Newfoundland. Doug relocated to Calgary, Alberta where he continues to reside. When not attending to his dealers you can find Doug lacing up his skates to play our favourite Canadian sport - hockey!
