To the attention of the owners:

We recently had occasion to call Heather in your parts department in order to obtain a rear clearance light for our 2006 Monaco Monarch SE, which we purchased originally from the Hitch House in 2010. We are in the process of selling the motor home and the service depot where we were having it safety checked in Kingston would not pass it due to one clearance light being burned out. They attempted to locate a replacement but, despite being referred to you by us, they told us they could not locate one. We called your parts Dept., and told our story to Heather who quickly confirmed there were several in your inventory. Heather arranged to have one sent to us by Purolator and we received it today (1 day after ordering) and this allowed the safety check to be finalized. She even called us back only to confirm the colour.

Heather was extremely helpful and expedited shipment of the required light. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Heather for helping us out of what seemed to be an unsolvable dilemma. The success of any business can only be achieved through a combination of competent employees and satisfied clients. We commend Heather for the excellent service she provided to us.

Sincerely

Frank & Phyllis McVicker

Dear Mike,

You know of our story, but for the readers and future customers passing by on their way into your wonderful showroom and glancing at the many letters of thanks to you and your colleagues, here is a quick refresher.

In January of 2015, we decided to explore the possibility of making the change from travel trailers and stepping into a motorhome. The Hitch House was a logical choice, given your reputation, so after a cold drive north we arrived in your inviting showroom and got down to some serious tire-kicking. Meeting you and experiencing your knowledgeable and laid back approach, we knew we were in good hands. The weeks and months that followed, researching and doing our diligence, with you always available to answer our many questions, culminated in the purchase of our 2015 Thor Challenger 37ND.

Thanks so much to you and all the staff that make up a truly first class and professional operation. Our subsequent dealings with your Parts and Service Department have been first-rate and a pleasure, with everyone knowledgeable and accommodating. We are loving our decision and our choice in making your organization the means in which we move into our new chapter of being on the road.

Thanks again Mike,

Bart and Bev Evans

Tom Stoate,

LETTER OF APPRECIATION

1. As you are aware the 16 Wing Commander's Change of Command parade took place on 15 June 15. During the planning stages of this ceremony it had originally been decided that the parade would take place on the runway tarmac and the outgoing Wing Commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Rodgers would leave the parade square in style, in a borrowed Hitch House Motorhome.

2. As a result of the weather the ceremony was moved to an indoor venue preventing the use of the Motorhome. It was unfortunate that the original plan could not be carried out as the entrance and departure of the Motorhome was a key element intended to enhance the fanfare of the event. However, the fact remains that The Hitch House graciously offered to help 16 Wing celebrate an important event with the loan of the Motorhome. It was very generous and much appreciated gesture despite the inability to proceed as planned.

3. The generosity and spirit of cooperation by The Hitch House is very much appreciated by all of us at the RCAF Academy.

We've never dealt with the Hitch House before although visited it numerous times.

Fortunately, you had the sort of RV we were focused on getting in a condition that satisfied our concerns but what impressed us the most was this??

ALTHOUGH WE PURCHASED A 'USED' RV (2008 model), THE DEALERSHIP TREATED IT LIKE A COMPLETELY 'NEW' RV. THAT IS, EVERYTHING, EVERY APPLIANCE, EVERY ACCESSORY, EVERY CONCERN WAS ADDRESSED TO OUR COMPLETE SATISFACTION. THE RIG WAS INSPECTED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM AND EVERYTHING WAS MADE TO OPERATE AS NEW.

I point this out specifically because we didn't buy a 'NEW' RV yet the dealership treated it as such. We could easily have been reminded with, "Mr. Vaandering, this is a used RV, not a new one", but such language and attitude was never used. The dealership even rectified a battery concern (2 house batteries) by providing 2 new batteries shortly after purchase.

You have earned our trust in your dealership and technicians that work for you. Hopefully any major repair issues we may encounter down the road will be equally as well addressed as The Hitch House is likely where we'll bring our unit for any such repairs.

Also, we think your policy of looking after your own customers first will be very valuable to us down the road. The ability to schedule repairs ahead of time and stay in your onsite parking lot while still having such repairs done is also important.

Our experience with The Hitch House came as a pleasant surprise. It's truly a professional run operation and likely where we'll buy our next unit should the need or desire arise.

Good morning Paul and Jon:

Just wanted to let you both know that the electrical problem is resolved. Seems to be holding power MUCH better and I can now rest assured that we won't freeze in the middle of the night when running the furnace without a/c power. (I know the alternative would be to run the jenny but only as a last resort)

Paul, you went beyond our expectations on resolving the issue by providing the new batteries. Jon, thanks for forwarding my email to Paul and your kind and generous gesture upon leaving for our trip back home????much appreciated!

Hitch House has certainly looked after us well!

We're off to Florida on Sunday and will send some pics now and then on our trip.

It's truly been a pleasure dealing with you guys and Luci and I thank you sincerely for your customer support and friendliness.

Tom Stoate,

I just wanted to add a little to the survey. We just flew home from Florida after driving the Dynasty down.

The Motorhome worked great with just a few annoying things going wrong.

We were really pleased with the treatment and professionalism of your team at The Hitch House.

We would both recommend The Hitch House to a friend and we would certainly look there first when it comes time to move up.

I look forward to visiting the new building when you open it. I can only imagine how disruptive this has been for you guys.

Our trip covered about 1800 miles and some miserable weather to drive in. There was a lot of crosswinds and rain, but we didn't have any close calls or scares so all ended well.

After we arrived in Miami I called back to service to tell them about the few small issues and they assure me that they would look after us when we bring it home. The only thing that may cost a bit to fix is the Aladdin System as the screen kept going black and wouldn't return for hours. When it did return, all the data came through so I suspect it is only the LED screen. The windshield wipers need some adjustment and the horn started blowing and wouldn't quit until I pulled the fuse. The last 2 are just annoyances and probably need something minor.

Again, I want to thank your whole Team for the way they treated us.

Please let us know when we can walk through the new store and Merry Christmas and a safe New Year to everyone there.

Good morning,

Just a note to comment on our visit to The Hitch House over the past couple of days.

The comfortable level of service , attention to our needs and the level of professionalism we enjoyed was wonderful.
No 'high pressure' feeling from sales staff just a comfortable level of ' welcome.

The staff we met and dealt with , from Ashley, Frank ( a few weeks ago ) and the assistance of Chris's Knowledge and his presentation of ' The Hitch House ' was impressive.

The manner in which the product (s ) were presented by Darrell Karas , his easy going approach and the generous amount of time he dedicated to us is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely ,

Donald Faiers and Verna Miller

Darrell,

The last time we talked I had indicated that the alignment was out and I had not enjoyed driving our new unit.

Subsequently I had the alignment rectified and thanks to Bob Martin who recommended a safe T steering stabilizer to me it is a new vehicle totally.
All in all I just wanted to let you know that we are very pleased with the quality of service provided by you and your company.

Mike Drane and Bruce Baier were a lot of help in procuring the additional items we wanted but were not in stock at the time and Marilyn was a true testimonial to the quality of folks your dealership employs.
Darrell, from the first time we talked on the phone and throughout the process you have been a pleasure to work with.

Personal Regards
Gavin

Attn: Tom Stoate,

Thank you so much for sponsoring a Hole at the 19th Annual Golf Tournament. It turned out to be a wonderful success. In all, the money we raised will benefit the Fire Fighters Association, & the portion from the Moonstone Park & Recreation will go to Raising the Roof at Ramey Park Fund.
We could not have done it without your help. There was a real sense of community that would not have been possible without the support of local businesses like yours. I do hope that we can count on your support again next year.
Together with your support, we hope to make this an annual event that will bring the community together as well as raise funds for these two important organizations every year. Your contribution means a lot. Thank you again, and I hope to see you next year!

Sincerely,
Deby Wood
Event Coordinator

Hi there Bruce,

Thanks so much for forwarding all the information. The seminar was very really interesting and gave me lot to think about and to plan for.
We do not anticipate actually getting a new RV until later this year or early next, but I do like to be prepared when i am undertaking something new, so to have someone as knowledgeable as you give us information about the various options we should be thinking about is invaluable.
Thank you once again for giving so freely of your time and knowledge, it is truly appreciated.

Jenny

We will not hesitate to refer you new customers.

We have greatly appreciated the excellent service you have done for us. A special thank to your french-speaking mechanic, Alain. He enabled us to explain in detail our repair needs on our R.V. Alain is a competent technician. He is a definite plus to your enterprise.

Sincerely,

Roselyne & Clement Beaulieu

To All Employees,

This is a note to tell all how much we have enjoyed our 6 years and two motor homes. You never treated us like customers, more like family from Paul who knows more about motor homes than anyone else we know to Hiedi and Tom. Special thanks to Les and Laurie in Rentals and to Mike who sold our motor home in about 3 days also the sales personnel.

The sad part of selling is not seeing you all. We are going to try owning a home in Mississippi, if it does not work out we will be back to buy again - never would we buy anywhere else but The Hitch House.

All our love,
Betty and John Dilkes

Tom,
Allow me to introduce myself, Jim Geary, Wasaga Beach, Ontario. I have been a motor home enthusiast for 25 years, and at age 53 am enjoying my 7th coach, starting with a C class and on to A class gas and now on my second diesel coach, Newmar Dutch Star. I have been familiar with the Hitch House for many years, enjoyed the nice selection and well laid out customer friendly facility. As an person that has purchased over 110 vehicles starting at age 16, from cars to boats, RV's, travel trailers, motorcycles, electric cars, etc, I have cross paths with a number of folks in the automotive and RV sales business and met more bad ones than good ones. When I have come across the good ones they stand out in an industry that really needs more of that quality person. In particular with recreational vehicles, we do not need them rather like them. We use them seldom and not as often as we would like, so the overall experience of buying, servicing etc needs to be a little bit of fun and easy on the nerves. I met Frank Crawford a few years back when he was a member of the RV Warehouse team and selling Newmar product. I recall that his approach and his management of the customer was quite impressive and pleasant. What struck me most was his product knowledge and passion, especially toward Newmar product. I never did end up doing any business with Frank, but knew if I was able to new I would have enjoyed and trusted that process
Back in 2008 I wandered into the Hitch House for a look around, see what was new. At the front door stood Frank who greeted me with a warm welcome. I quickly learned that Frank had left the RV Warehouse and joined the Hitch House who now was the area dealer for Newmar, no longer RVWH. After some brief catch up, Frank was hard at selling the updating me on the Newmar product and those memories of that enthusiastic, profession, customer courteous, product knowledgeable and passionate guy grabbed my casual interest and had me inside Newmar and other brand coaches in no time. I recall sitting in a coach and listening to Frank and developing a renewed interest in getting back into a motor coach after a 2 year break. I could have sat and listened to Frank for hours. My previous coach was an American Dream and I had a passion for Fleetwood product. I left that day thinking serious about how much I missed the motor coach lifestyle and if I got back in to one I would look serious at Newmar. Frank Crawford awoke that interest.
In July 09 I came across a used Newmar Dutchstar, somewhat a unique opportunity and a little early in my schedule to buy another coach. I needed some info and called on Frank who was very helpful. I made it clear and was honest with Frank that I would love to have been able to buy from him at the Hitch House, but had to pursue this opportunity first. I did buy that coach and am now hooked on Newmar product and will see my next upgrade likely be Newmar, Frank was a major influencer.
This is perhaps a little long winded and my reason for dropping you a note is to say that in the RV industry we seldom meet what I would consider to be profession genuine customer friendly sales representation. Frank Crawford is one of them and the industry and the company he works for are better for having him on their team. I would imagine that Frank is at and likely over the retirement age but presents himself like he is in his prime. Aside from his professionalism, product knowledge and passion, he is a real nice man. I hope he can stay at the helm for a long time
I pride myself in taking time to acknowledge others that do well in their profession and including Frank in that is important to me.
Thanks for taking time to listen to me. I will make it a point to drop buy and see Frank this summer and see the great selection of product at your dealership May bring my bank manager and treat myself.
All the best
Jim Geary

As soon as you saw us, you said that you had the perfect Motorhome just for us. We weren't even looking to buy a Motorhome at that time, but this is the only one we saw that we liked, and it is still the only one we like. Thank you so much. Even this far from Shanty Bay everyone that recognizes the name The Hitch House has nothing but good things to say about your business. We will continue to sing your praises 'Service is excellent'.

To All Employees at The Hitch House
Dear Dave,

I would like to take a few minutes to express what a wonderful experience it has been purchasing my new Thor Outlaw Motorhome. In a time when so many companies and businesses have failed to provide good service, knowledge and selection of product yours is second to none. I was warned from a competitor that The Hitch House was too big, and that I wouldn't receive the personal service. To my fulfillment I have found just the opposite, it has been the best I have seen in a long time.

First to mention Mike Barton my Sales Agent; Mike knows his stuff and doesn't apply the high pressure sales tactics. The welcome we received upon our delivery and the follow-up calendar was very touching. Hitch House premises are clean and look very organized. Your staff, I won't mention any names just in case I forget someone, they have all been fantastic! Everyone has been very helpful and shown courtesy right from your front desk, warranty registration upstairs, other fellow sales reps while Mike was off, service and parts absolutely incredible. Service has impressed me so much that I just had repairs done to my first RV that was originally bought from another dealer. It comes to no surprise that The Hitch House has been in business for so many years.

Many Thanks to All,

Yours Truly

Hi Tom, I'm a little tardy in sending this e-mail due to lack of an Internet connection where I am presently staying.

I recently had an occasion to spend time (about two weeks) at your Dealership waiting for repairs to be done to my RV.

I dealt with Jenn Thomas exclusively, however, had occasion to speak with several other of your staff members. From Keith, the one who did the repairs, to his Brother Paul who did the painting.

Jenn went out of her way to accommodate me in very way during this stressful time. I had discovered that my Insurance deductible was $2,000 and did not cover the cost of accommodations while my coach was being repaired.

One of your loaner cars was made available to me to do errands etc. And one day Jenn even brought the car right up to where I was parked because it was raining so hard.

Jenn's people skills are outstanding and definitely makes her a perfect fit for the position she has with your Company.

Regardless of what Staff Member I met, each and every single one of them were polite, professional and very friendly. I truly felt like one of the Family.

It was such a pleasure dealing with someone like Jenn who went above and beyond the call in the name of Customer Service.

My compliments to you and your Staff for running such a fine facility.

I will be completing online reviews of your Dealership and will send Jenn the link(s) when completed.

After much research my wife and I went to The Hitch House with a specific year make and model class C in mind. When we arrived it was our first stop at an RV only shop and we had a number of questions already in hand. We had requested a visit through the website, which in most industries don't even get answered let alone to the booking stage. We met Sean Dunlevy and began going through our questions. He was so straight forward with what he did know, and got the answers on the one or two he didn't know that we pretty much made up our mind on a completely different unit that day. Being unfamiliar with that make model etc. we went home to do some research and were pleasantly surprised at how well Sean knew the products, and frankly how honest he was about those answers. So much so, that we ended up purchasing a Monaco Class A still within our budget, and a much better investment than our original search. We have only had the coach for 1 year, but we have used it under many different circumstances and have found not one thing wrong with this coach. Two calls to the service department for advice were both answered quickly and clearly, and Sean called as promised more than once to ensure we were doing ok.

During our research on RV'ing many criticized brands, dealers, and salespersons, and cautioned the "newbie" on all sorts of things to watch out for. My wife and I are still very pleased with our decision to purchase this particular Monaco coach, and for doing so at The Hitch House. Sean gave us the time to see the whole picture, by showing us the good and bad in many sizes, shapes, brands and units, thereby eliminating the buyer's remorse or "2footitis". During the pickup we were also treated well by Marylin Clark, and again with everyone in service. Cheryl and I cannot speak highly enough for the salesmanship, follow through, and overall satisfaction on our first RV investment, and will always look to The Hitch House as our first choice.

Thank you.

Never in a million years would I have thought we would buy a new motorhome in Havelock!! I would or we would like to thank Frank, Paul, Greg, and Darlene for making the switch so smooth. What a great team you are!

This comes with sincere gratitude.

Hi Dave,
Just a quick note, to let you what a wonderful experience we had purchasing our first motorhome from The Hitch House.

We can't say enough about how well we were treated by Frank Crawford. His years of experience and patience, put us at ease and made our visit pleasurable. Not only did he treat us like family, but he went out of his way with reservations to restaurants and anything else we needed. He really listened to what we were looking for and found the perfect RV for us.

Marilyn, took time to discuss all the financial aspects with us. She answered all of the millions of questions we had. Her knowledge about insurance was especially helpful, and she also went out of her way to make dinner reservations for us one evening.

Dan, provided a wonderful orientation. Even though there were some bumps along the way, he was calming, exceeding knowledgable and friendly. We really appreciated all the time he spent with us greenhorns.

Twenty minutes after we left The HitchHouse on our way home, we ran into a rain storm. When we turned on the wipers we discovered one of them was broken. After a quick call to Bob in service, Dan arrived at our location, with 2 new wiper blades, coffee and donuts.
Now that's service!!!

Bruce, in parts and services, was another person that spent a lot of time explaining what maintenance was needed for our motorhome. He was also a wealth of knowledge.

Tom, had the patience of a saint while doing the initial drive with us. He has a good sense of humor and was a great help in making Peter feel confident while learning to drive our motorhome.

Patty and I found you and your team exceptional in the services that you provided us. We can't say enough good things about your operation. Your staff were willing to go to any length to ensure that we had a comfortable experience.

Rest assured we will pass on the experience to all our friends.

Kindest regards,

Patty and Peter MacKinnon

Hi Bob,

Thank you so much!! This thing is AMAZING!! We are well on our way home. As suspected we drove out of the snow and the roads are clear and dry now. I can't thank you and Dave and Sean and the rest of the people there enough for helping us get this motor home. It is such an amazing machine!! Shane is already feeling quite comfortable behind the wheel and I was able to price a kitchen on my laptop (sitting on the dash) on the way home. ( we have a new home to pay for, I need to sell a few more lol). We love it already. So thank you very much! We are looking very forward to having all of you at The Hitch House as part of our vacation family. You have made us feel very comfortable with our big purchase! Please pass on our thanks!

Tracy MacFarlane

Dear Frank,

You really have been great with (all of) us, and buying our RV has been a real fun experience. You have also been very patient with us! As in waiting for a photo - our exuberance and hyperactive often out runs our good intentions. This picture will be forthcoming - it really will, but so far we've been having too much fun moving around the country before we've settled into a family "portrait" for the calendar.

Thank you, though, for all your concerns and encouragement and we really hope to get a picture of us by Thanksgiving. We are loving the RV!

Thanks again -

Susan on behalf of all the Waite's.

Ps.

We are just back from Thunder Bay. We had a great trip and thoroughly enjoyed our motorhome. Thanks again- we'll be in soon with a few minor questions, but for a first trip we felt very pleased and lucky.

Mr. McKee

I purchased a Damon Astoria last year and I need to inform you what a positive experience it has been for both my family and I. Special thanks goes to Paul Lewis and the service staff including Heidi. I've had some real frustrating problems with some warrantee items, especially the front privacy blinds, and finally we all decided to put in an electric blind system, that seems to be working quite well. Paul has been a patient person and has been tenacious in dealing with Damon and the manufacturers to get this rectified and has been a front line support person that has my highest regards.

Lastly, your son Chris has been nothing but supportive. My wife and I were interested in a Newmar unit to move up to and Chris was the most cordial and supportive person and a pleasure to deal with. We did not go ahead with it, however, will be looking at a Mountain Aire in the future. We decided to wait and upgrade to it in a couple of years. Once again, my hats off to your service and sales personnel and especially Paul.

Thank you and see you all soon.

Best regards,

Steven Murphy

Dear Tom, Marilyn, and everyone at The Hitch House,

My husband and I are so happy with our new motor home. It was a good choice. We are loving it more each day. Enjoying all the features it has. Everyone was so helpful in getting the coach all ready for us. It sure is an eye catcher where we travel to and in our RV Park here in Tuscan. We are proud to show it off to our friends. The inside layout and the furniture is so impressing. Wishing everyone at The Hitch House a Happy Holiday, and a wonderful New Year. See you all in April.

Sincerely,
Alice Black.

Ps. The calendar with out picture sure is wonderful!

Please express our thanks to your staff for the great job they did modifying the closet in our van.

The workmanship is A-1.

Bill and I really appreciate the time you spent with us, your knowledge and your kind ways. Pictures arrived. Isn't technology wonderful. Thanks a lot and thank you for your time today. Bill and I really appreciate the time you spent with us, your knowledge and your kind ways. This is a major investment for us, but working with you made the purchase enjoyable. Dear Mr. McKee,

My husband Robert (Bob) and I recently purchased a 2009 Damon Daybreak at the recent RV show held in Toronto in October.

It was quite an experience for us as this is our first RV. This experience was made pleasant with the help of all your staff.

Bob Martin, our salesman, was truly professional and patient in answering the many questions we presented to him and we thank him for his help in guiding us through the purchase of the RV. Beth Lewis did a tremendous job in filling in all the paperwork and explaining all the necessary documents in great detail. Paul Lewis spent several hours with us going over the RV outlining all the necessary things we will need to know.

Since picking up our RV, we have visited the centre and have always been pleasantly greeted by Ashley on your front desk and have had good discussions with Bruce as to what we will need in the future to keep our RV in good condition.

Every time we leave your centre, we both comment on how pleasant, how professional and how friendly all your staff are.

Congratulations on a well run operation.

Sincerely,

Bob and Karen Milne

Darrell Karas

Thanks very much for your memo of July 17, 2008. I hope this information will satisfy the insurance company.
Your quick response is appreciated. You also answered my previous request promptly, in regard to roofing material on the motorhome.
It's nice doing business with someone who places a high value on good customer relations.
As you are aware, this is the second motorhome we have purchased from the Hitch House. The Roadtrek worked very well for us, and the new Damon Challenger fulfills our present needs. It worked to our satisfaction in every way, on our maiden voyage (to Newfoundland). We love it.
We should also congratulate the Hitch House on having excellent representatives such as Beth Lewis and Paul Lewis. We appreciated the friendly and capable service they each provided.

See you on July 31st - we've arranged with John to look after a few minor items that day.

Yours sincerely,

Bill Webb

Dear Mr. Stoate,

On behalf of the 'Happy Campers, Explorer's RV Club', I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous donation of a PORTABLE STAINLESS STEEL NAPOLEAN GOURMET GRILL.

Our June 2008 rally in Meaford was a great success with over 75 members attending. Each member was given three tickets to win this door prize. At the final dinner we drew a winning ticket. Imagine our surprise when the lucky winner was Helen McKinnon.

Thank you again for your generous donation.

Yours truly,

Judy How

Hi Darrell,

Well you did it! Never had a doubt you wouldn't Darrell. From the moment I met you I felt my 24 hours in Canada would be successful, memorable, and socially rewarding.

Despite the "untidy" nature of the transaction, you always maintained my absolute confidence. So many thanks to you and your associated colleagues @ The Hitch House.

Hoping to meet up with you again - probably when we hire from you for our extended tour of Canada next year - I have no hankering for another 24 hour whirlwind tour though!

All the best Darrell, Kindest regards,

Alan Jones

Mr. Stoate:

My wife and I are very impressed with the Hitch House facilities and inventory and, although we tow a fifth-wheel trailer, we will certainly be in to spend more time with you. We would like to express our special appreciation for the time and effort extended by one of your staff last evening.

We are currently working at the KOA at Parry Sound (where there is currently virtually no rv parts and service) and needed a replacement 50A-30A dog-bone. Your Parts Department confirmed that the part was in stock and, after a one-hour drive from Parry Sound, we just made your six o'clock closing. One of your (senior) female staff - her name escapes me this morning, stayed late with us to make sure that we got the correct part and that we were completely satisfied. We really appreciate this level of commitment and service and we will provide the Hitch House with a solid recommendation.

Looking forward to visiting the Hitch House in the near future.

Brian and Carol Salmers

Tom Stoate,

We just wanted to let you know how pleased we have been with your company. We bought our motorhome last summer and our sales persons was Darrell Karas. He has been of excellent assistance to us through the whole process and greets us like family when we show up at your place.

Also Bruce Baier of your parts department, don't know what I would have done without all his help. He is very knowledgeable and has gone out of his way with all my requests to have things done, and/or purchased. He ensured that everything was installed as to my requests so that when we came up to pick up our vehicle, we could just get in and drive it home. And also your service department has been top notch. All requests there to have things repaired and looked at have been take care of in a timely and courteous manner.

We are considering upgrading to a Class A in the near future and we will certainly be contacting Darrell to see what he can do for us at that time. Thanks again.

Ken and Ruth Garside

"Thanks once again for everything."

Attention: Don Karas

Hi! We LOVE our new (slightly used) REGENCY!!

Thanks once again for everything.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Tom,

On behalf of our Region 8/Ontario Provincial Rally, I want to thank you for your generous donation toward our supper on Sat. night. It was greatly appreciated. The rally went well with 23 units in attendance & we enjoyed great weather. We hope that your Newmar Dealership goes well. This will give us potential members for the Newmar Kountry Klub. If we can be of assistance for your company, from a klub perspective please let us know. Frank Crawford spoke enthusiastically on your operation & gave us a background history of your business.

We look forward to working with you & The Hitch House in the future.

Thanks,

Ken & Marilyn Jenkins

To Our Family at the Hitch House,

Thank you from the bottom of our heart for the pleasant and beautiful Service.

We had a change to enjoy the motor home for only 4 days so far, since the initial concerns were solved. All the staff have been willing, devoted and wonderful with our inexperience questions.

Thank you from the bottom of our heart for the pleasant and beautiful Service. We are highly grateful for the gift and will share it with friends.

Dear Mr. McKee, President

My wife and I recently purchased our first RV, a BTouring Cruiser from The Hitch House. We would like to express our thanks to you and your excellent staff. The professionalism and service was second to none.

Had it not been for the perseverance and responsiveness of Don Karas, the sale would not have occurred. We had a particular problem of fitting the unit to access our home which has a very short entrance. Don took the time and trouble to bring several units to our home which ultimately resulted in our purchase of the BTouring Cruiser.

On the day delivery occurred, July 5, 2006, your technician, Dave Funnell thoroughly demonstrated the features of the RV to us. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient with our many questions. He pointed our the numerous features of the unit and went to greate lengths to ensure we were both familiar and comfortable with the workings of it, although we feel we still have some homework to do with the various features.

The "D & D" team (Don and Dave) made our first time purchase of an RV a pleasure along with your other staff, a compliment to your organization.

We will certainly be telling our friends and family to consider The Hitch House for any of their motorhome needs.

Thanks again for making this first time experience so much easier than we had anticipated.

Yours very truly,

Bob Barlow and Jane Barlow

Service Above and Beyond

On Thursday, June 23, 2005, our special events trailer traveling on the Southbound 400, blew out both right side tires, disabling the unit and placing us in an unenviable situation.

A call to The Hitch House at 4.30 pm, put us in contact with Luke, who confirmed that he in fact had three tires and rims in stock.

Further discussion revealed that due to the late time in the day, the service technicians had left for the day, so there was not anyone available for a service call. Upon hearing of our plight, Luke offered to drive the tires down to us, and assisted in every way possible to minimize our dilemma.

I cannot say enough about his "stepping up" and assisting us, and certainly want to thank The Hitch House for getting us out of the "jam" that we were in.

Once again, thanks for all your help,

Barry Poulton

A Bouquet Instead of a Brick

Letters that come to your attention are usually of complaints from unsatisfied customers regarding motor homes, trailers and such. We would like to pass on to your readers and fellow campers a story with a happy ending.

My wife and I were heading to Florida for a winter vacation in our motor home from North Bay, Ontario. The trip was going well until we reached Detroit, Michigan, where a warning light came on the dash, indicating a low water reading in our radiator. At the first available stop, we pulled off to investigate. The fluid in the rad was low, and thanks to a very kind trucker, who gave us antifreeze, we filled it up, and were able to continue on our way.

We checked the rad every hundred miles, and could see no visible leak, and were able to make it to our destination in Hudson, Florida. Once we settled in, we called a repair shop and had a mechanic come to the R.V. Park to examine the rad. It was determined that we needed a new rad (with only 9,000 miles on our new coach!!).

The Freightliner warranty was just over but we had luckily purchased extended warranty from DFS Advantage. DFS said we were covered, so the coach went in for repairs while we went to a motel.

The next day we got a call from the repair shop saying that DFS Advantage would not cover the radiator as it was thought to be corrosion due to improper maintenance. Wow! What a shock! Talk about a bummed-out vacation. So..$2,300.00 U.S. later, plus $500.00 U.S. for our motels for 7 days, we had our new rad.

We called Freightliner and spoke with Mr. Darren Canupp, who was both sympathetic and professional. Although they were under no legal obligation to do so, they sent us a cheque for $500.00 U.S. for good will.

We kept the old rad and when we returned home, we stopped at The Hitch House in Barrie where we had purchased the coach. We dropped off the rad and spoke with Tom Stoate, who had sold us the coach.

Tom contacted the extended warranty company and dug into the whole situation for us, including phone calls to Florida. He found out that the "corrosion" had been the word used by the Rad Shop that had examined the rad in Florida, but that had been a conclusion drawn because there had been nothing obvious wrong on the outside, and the Rad Shop had been reluctant to touch the rad because damage done may have been attributed to them, and as a consequence, we would loose our warranty.

Tom kept up the fight until it was agreed to bring in an independent appraiser to evaluate the radiator. This took a few weeks, and Tom kept us posted by phone of the progress. When inspected by the independent party, it was determined there was no corrosion, and as a result, we received compensation for the rad.

We have heard so many horror stories in our travels, of RV owners not getting help from the dealers or RV manufacturers, after the sale, that our intent here is to let our fellow RVers out there know that there are quality people out there - namely Tom Stoate - and quality specialists who sell them - like The Hitch House. They really care about their customers and deserve accolades for restoring faith in the operation of a company.

Hats off to Tom, The Hitch House and Darren at Freightliner for coming through. Thank you

Yours truly,

Murray Whitman
North Bay, Ontario

As it has been said "better late than never" and, therefore, I am writting this letter.

In the summer of 2004 we were looking for a used RV. Not finding what we wanted in the St. Thomas/London area we started searching out of this area and planned our route to include The Hitch House.

Mike Barton inquired what we were looking for and he immediately said he had a used Triple E Commander on consignment which he thought might be of interest to us. He was right! Mike easily answered all our questions or concerns and was thorough in all aspects. James Godfrey was also very helpful in explaining the financial aspects of this purchase.

The congratulations sign which was in the showroom when we picked up the motorhome was a thoughtful touch as was the calendar which The Hitch House sent to us - both are great keepsakes.

We have taken the Triple E Commander on several weekend outings and then went to Las Vagas in November - had lots of fun.

Thanks to all the professional staff we dealt with - Mike Barton, James Godfrey and Beth Lewis. Maybe we will see some of them at the RV Show in Toronto tomorrow.

Yours truly,
Nick & Diane de Gouw

Dear Mr.McKee:

My wife, Judy & I, would like to express our appreciation for the service we have received since purchasing our motorhome in March. Since day one, we have been very impressed with the professionalism and overall congenial atmosphere of the Hitch House. It seems to us that we are dealing with a large and friendly family. A family that is certainly doing its best to please us, the customers.

Kevin, in sales, has always treated us honestly and fairly. Thanks Kevin!

When we had a problem with the bed chesterfield, Hiedi worked with the manufacturer and us until the situation was resolved. Thanks Hiedi!

We have been impressed with your courteous and efficient service department. Thanks Al, for your help and advice. Thank you as well, to Paul, Dennis, Alain for excellent service. (Sorry if we forget, anyone)

Finally, thank you, Mr. McKee. The day we bought our motorhome you promised we would be looked after. Thanks for keeping that promise.

Sincerely,
Ralph & Judy Grice

Hi Tom And Everyone At The Hitch House

It's Me Marilyn.
Just Wanted To Let You Know That We love The Motorhome And Having A Great Time.
Thanks So Much Tom.

Hi Dave:
I wanted to take a few moments and share my thoughts with you around our recent experience purchasing our Motor home at your dealership.

Peg and I had been looking for a new motor home for a few months and decided to take a run up to The Hitch House as we had seen a few ads in the Bike/Boat & RV Trader.

We were greeted at the door by a friendly face and told to feel free to look around in the showroom. Shortly after that, Don Karas came up and introduced himself. He was quite knowledgeable about the product, willing to show anything that we asked and we both felt that there was no pressure to commit to a purchase. This was great!! Finally a place that understood how significant a decision it is to buy an RV and would let us take the time to go back and view the different models many, many times (sorry about that, Don).

We eventually decided on a used '03 Ultrasport which had everything that we were looking for. Again, even when we were making the final decision, we didn't feel under pressure to close, or that we had to rush through the process.

I must compliment you on your end-to-end sales process, including the clean-up and prep. Our coach was delivered "better than new" condition. Everything was cleaned, polished, vacuumed and shined. The delivery walk through was great and I felt comfortable driving away that day.

Since then, I have had some minor items which needed attention - not to be unexpected with an RV. Each time that I have contacted your Service area, I have received exceptional treatment. Typically, RV service is difficult, inconvenient and often frustrating. I've never felt more comfortable dealing with a service organisation. Heidi, Al and the rest of the service area really care about the customer and do all they can to ensure that my issues are addressed quickly, professionally and to my satisfaction.

I can see that this business has been built based on Customer Service, quality and professionalism. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase my next unit at the Hitch House. As a matter of a fact, I don't know why I would go anywhere else. Keep up the good work!!

Sincerely,
Shane Chamberlin

To Hiedi and Tom and all staff members who worked on my motorhome, a word of thanks for the great care & service given us.

P.S. Here's wishing you good fall weather and take care.

JC & Yolande Cholette

Dear Kevin,

We wish to thank you for your assistance in us acquiring our "dream motorhome", although Rudy is still dreaming of a "diesel pusher", so who knows what the future might bring.

Anyway, we hope to travel with the Intruder for a long time to come. Enclosed is a token of our appreciation. Enjoy!

Sincerely,

Rudy & Lily

A Big Thank You ...

Mike, Beth, Dave, Tom, Heidi & the cleaning crew, mechanics, Paul for interrupting his supper.
A Big Thank you for everything you did for us getting our motorhome ready! Everybody was curtious, helpful & friendly.
Thank you again!
So far we have enjoyed our motorhome, I'm sure we will be comfy when we full time RV.

Johnny & Linda

Dear David:

I am sure that you always appreciate letters from satisfied customers. This is one.

Since I first walked into your showroom in July 2001, my experience at The Hitch House has been pleasant. I have bought many automobiles, numerous properties, including boats and even an airplane, but none was as smoothly and professionally accomplished as was my purchase of a 2001 Pursuit motorhome. Dave Baird was knowledgeable and helpful with our selection, the price was a good one, easily agreed upon, and the details of the transaction were capably handled by Joan Walker.

Prior to delivery we received excellent assistance from your Parts & Service department including a comprehensive checkout from Mark Boucher and some good council regarding options and add-ons which were efficiently installed. The coach was delivered on time.

After a year on the road we returned the coach for winterizing and some warranty work which has just been completed, again to our complete satisfaction, on time, and in a very expert manner. Heidi, Al, and Jacky have been friendly and very cooperative; it has been a pleasure to deal with them. In short, we are very happy customers and will recommend The Hitch House to anyone interested in quality motorhome and first class service.

Your very fine reputation is well deserved.

Yours Truly,
David Wall

Thanks Phil:

I am VERY impressed!! 40 Minutes after sending you an email with my cell phone # and the problem I had, a Damon Representative called. He gave me the address of the closest repair center and we took it from there. I will be making an appointment to have the tank fixed on our way out of San Diego in Feb. as it is not urgent.

Thanks again for such speedy service. I'd recommend you and the Hitchhouse to anyone contemplating the purchase of an RV.

We are extremely happy with our Challenger!

Darrell,

Our sincere thanks again for all you've done for us this past yr & your generosity when we bought the bus. Needless to say, we are loving every minute of the time we travel. Looking forward to heading somewhere in Jan. Hope you & your family have a great holiday season.

John & Gail Fitzgerald

Dear Mr. McKee;

Thank you all for making my first Damon purchase such a pleasant one...

I am writing this letter to let you know what a great job your staff is doing. It started when I met Al Walker at one of the RV Shows and found that The Hitch House would service the RV which I currently owned. Not only was it closer to home than the dealer I had purchased it from, but I was happier with the service when I did go. Hiedi and Al always manage to fit you in and do it in such a way that you feel like you are the most important customer.

As I was looking to trade for a unit that would more suit my needs, I started looking at what was on your lot. Mark Boucher was very helpful. I use my RV for going to dog shows, which places a lot of special requirements on the unit. Mark was very patient and knowledgeable; especially during the 2 hours of questions I put him through on all the specs.

Joan Walker then took over, going through all of the warranty and protection options. My last dealer never explained or offered any of these.

Paul, with the help of Dennis, went over delivery very efficiently. Items were covered that were never mentioned with my prior unit's delivery.

As with any new vehicle & home combination, there were a few items which needed to be adjusted/repaired in the first few weeks. All of the items were taken care of. After the first trip I found a few things to be adjusted and a few minor modifications I wanted done. Paul has always come up with and installed these modifications to a degree that anyone looking at them would think that the coach came that way.

Although I have only listed the staff who have been major players in my experience purchasing my new unit, many other staff have helped in small ways. Each and everyone has been helpful and friendly.

Thank you all for making my first Damon purchase such a pleasant one.

Sincerely yours,

L. Barrow

Hi Paul,

Many thanks for fixing all on our motorhome. All is great. We are touring again. Visiting Manitoullan Island for a few days. Hope you got away for a few days. Once again, many thanks for fixing all on our Kodiak.

Bernard & Doreen Mara

To Dave and Staff at The Hitch House:

Linda, Sierra and I want to express our appreciation for the superb service that we received before and during our 6 month trip across Canada. Everyone there at The Hitch House really helped us get ready and prepared to go, but I think the service is what struck us the most.

We were not familiar with RVs at all, but your staff spent so much time getting our trailer ready for us - or should I say us ready for our trailer. Every detail was considered, everything was explained and demonstrated to us, so that we were very confident in leaving. Our afternoon at The Hitch House ended with you and your staff washing our van - which spoke volumes to us!

In our six months of travel we had only one problem - a defective water pump. However, one call back to your service technician, and I was graciously walked through a repair job that would have cost me hundreds of dollars. We were several days travel from any service bays, so having him explain how to repair the pump saved days of backtracking as well.

Our trip is over now, and we have many great memories of it, not the least of which being the way you all treated us at The Hitch House - we are very impressed and grateful!

With Thanks

Tony Bianco

Dear Hiedi,

Everything about the weekend was first rate...

This is just a short note to say, "Thank You" and to ask you to please pass on my thanks to your Dad, Al and Joan and to all the others who worked to make this past weekend such a success. What a lot of planning and sheer physical work must have gone into it!

We arrived with no idea that it would be such a busy and interesting stay but certainly didn't expect anything on that scale! Both Doreen and I had such a good time and took advantage of the opportunity to examine many of the RVs on display. If I continue to gain confidence and go farther afield, bit by bit, I may be up to see you about upgrading to a newer model. I have no complaints about my South Wind. It has been performing very well. I am getting better gas mileage than I expected and it doesn't use any oil (It helps that I have a son-in-law who routinely checks over everything for me.) but the newer models have such lovely decor and some added features that are very appealing.

Everything about the weekend was first rate and we really appreciated the welcome we received all the time we were there. It was interesting to meet so many eager RV owners.

I will be e-mailing The Hitch House in the new year to catch up on your news about your coming event and hope to see you in the not too distant future. Thanks again to everyone involved in the past weekend.

Sincerely,

Joyce Klingender

Dear Sir:

I am writing this letter on behalf of our church in regards to the help that we have received from your staff.

We are in the process of helping two families repair homes that have been damaged by water leaks and mould problems. We contacted Mark Boucher in your service department and found him to be very understanding and anxious to help us. He sent Dale Miller out on his own time to inspect the trailers and advise us of how to proceed. Dale spent two evenings with us and did not want any payment for his time. Dale was also very kind, helpful and anxious to see that the problems were resolved. He was very knowledgeable and quickly assessed what needed to be done.

We were able to purchase the material that we needed from your Part's Department and thankfully, we are now almost done one and about half of the other. We were pleasantly surprised to find a company that was interested in helping us in such a benevolent way, a real answer to prayer!

Needless to say we have mentioned how helpful and pleasant The Hitch House was to do business with to all who have asked and to all that we have talked too.

Thank you so very much for all that you have done for us. We look forward to doing business with you again.

Yours truly,

Laurie Hadwell

To The Staff @ The Hitch House:

This is just a note to say Thank you for your support and service to help put us into our wonderful new Ultrasport RV. It has everything we have wanted and we have had a great time naming it "The Georgian Clipper" our Land Yacht. We have been delighted to tell our admirers where we got it & it's attributes. Special Thanks to "David". Keep that smile and patience.

Yours truly

The Hitch House in Barrie, where the personnel are very friendly...This is a letter of thanks to all those involved:

The first thank you, must go to Chrysler, for the marvellous work they did in producing the Dodge Chassis, because without that, Home and Park could never have developed these fabulous motorhomes.

The second thank you, has to go out to Home and Park, for their creative skills in the developing of a "Home Away From Home". They have put so much thought in every detail, that is is a pleasure to be an owner of one of their Models.

The third thank you, must go to the workers of Home and Park, for the workmanship is done to perfection. The tour with informative guide (Wayne) is an excellent way to see how all this is done.

The fourth thank you, must go to the dealer, in our case, The Hitch House in Barrie, where the personnel are very friendly. To start with, the Receptionist with the pleasing smile as you enter the Sales Office. Our Salesman, Mr. Al Walker and his very attractive wife, Joan, as Office Manager were most attentive and helpful to our needs. We highly recommend them to others. We must also mention Mr. Mark Boucher, the Sales Manager, a very patient and intelligent fellow who did a great job demonstrating how everything works.

On May 2nd we took possession of our 2000 - 190 Popular Model which we are most satisfied with, for us it is a dream come ture, as this is for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We have now had our motorhome for a grand total of 10 days, and we have given 39 people a tour through our lovely motorhome. And we know this is only a start, as we know there are many more of our neighbours, other friends and relatives who over a period of time will also be taking the tour.

As much as we are most satisfied with everything, I do have one suggestion to Home and Park. You have done a marvellous job in all of your designing, except for one thing. Please give it some thought to making a cover for the two burner stove in the 190 Popular Model. Because there are times, when you do not want to use the stove but with a cover over it, it could be used for more counter space. We checked with Mr. Ryan Bougourd, Assistant Parts Manager with The Hitch House who was a very pleasant young man, but was assured by him that there was nothing available on the market to buy. Thankfully I have a husband who is talented enough to create a cover, but unfortunately, though we haven't checked yet to see what is on the market, we don't know if we can match the gray counter top so that it does not look patched.

To all those mentioned, keep up the good work, and make others as happy as all of you have made us.

Wishing everyone a great summer.

Robert and Georgia Blanchard

We want to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts...

Hiedi, Mark, Ryan, Steve & Everyone.

Well we are still on the road (as you can tell by the writing). Left Edmonton this am. On the way to Jasper, Alta. We are really looking forward to the Rocky Mountains!

Just taking our time & seeing beautiful country, some days we travel 270 miles & some days 380.

Went to the Edmonton Mall yesterday (not impressed). Just like any other mall, except it has a wave pool & more stores. We decided not to stay another day.

We are averaging gas mileage of about 11.5 miles to gal. (pretty good eh!). The levelers are working great. The step works only when it wants to. I will have to call them when we get home.

We want to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts for all your help, hospitality & friendship. A special thanks to Ryan for all his help.

Love & Hugs

Dawn & Albert

Hi David Baird:

Thank you for providing us with a campsite and nice hospitality from all of your staff for us. We enjoyed spending our small holidays there. We were able to tour the beautiful surrounding areas, such as Huntsville and Collingwood.

Please give our best regards to your President Al and the Certified technician Mark. He did a great job. I really take my hat off to his clean renovation of my unit, that will enable even myself (disabled person) to more easily winterize this year.

Class A units should be designed with considerations to make life easier for any user. I'll be very happy if my next dream of choice would be such a RV. If you find something new or used with such features, will you let me know? I'd be glad to visit you.

At any rate, I like your facility, so from time to time, I will visit and buy a gadget or two.

Enjoy the rest of summer.

Best regards,

Y. Endo

Hi Dave

I want to thank you for your kindness and commitment to look after your customers. I just returned from vacation and thought I had a serious problem with my motorhome. I called The Hitch House and told you my problem. Your reply was don't worry Don I will look after it for you. Dave you don't know how good you made me feel. Thank you for your honesty and dedication to keeping your customers happy.

Yours Truly

We are so happy our cheeks hurt from smiling...

Dear Hiedi, Dave and everyone else,

We just wanted to drop you a note thanking you for your patience & hard work with our Challenger. We are so happy our cheeks hurt from smiling.

Merry Christmas & all the best in the New Year.

Everyone involved was very pleasant, and made us feel very important...

We recently had work done on our 29ft Travelair trailer. We were very impressed by the customer relations. We were kept informed as to the progress of the work, and also the cost of the job. Everyone involved was very pleasant, and made us feel very important as a customer. We were very happy with the work which was done by all concerned and we wished to let you know.

Thank you again,

Win & Brian Richardson

Our hats off to you and your crew...

This letter is in response to some excellent service work that my family and I received this summer from your service department.

Not to get into many details, we were camping at Balsam Lake Provincial Park and found that the service work done on our van and brand new Palamino Travel Trailer was not done properly and caused some severe problems in both vehicles. Our Dealer was not willing to look after them for us so we had to resort to looking for someone in the area to help us.

Through another contact we were given your dealership to call and see if you were able to repair the problem. I talked with your Service Manager, Mark Boucher, explained the problem to him and how desperate we were. He told us to come as soon as possible and he would take care of us.

We packed up the trailer and headed to your dealership. Upon arriving Mark asked me to pull around to the rear entrance and he would start on it right away. The bays were packed full of R.V.'s right out to the rear yard, people were waiting in line. Mark told me that they were not taking any more work for that day, but because of our situation he would get right on it. He did, within three hours I was on my way with the best that he could do with what he had to work with. Because of this we were able to finish out our 2 week vacation and return home safely to get the needed parts ordered and the trailer fixed.

Taking into consideration that you are not a Palamino Dealer, your Service Technicians were not used to the trailer and its components, your people did an excellent job. My wife and I are so impressed with your business, that we will be coming back to you in the future when we decide to upgrade our trailer.

It would have been very easy for Mark to turn us away just because he was not familiar with the vehicle, but he didn't. The technician even went so far as to repair some of the damage on the van, so that we could at least get it into a garage for permanent repairs. Our hats off to you and your crew and pat yourselves on the back for a job well done. Your good deed will not go unmentioned. We have already spoken very highly of your operation to the head of the Palmino dealerships in Ontario, Paul Cassidy. We have also recommended you to several of the campers in the Park we stayed in that were inquiring about your service. As well several friends were asking about where to purchase an R.V. and yours was the only reputable one we would mention.

Good Fortune in the coming year...and keep up the good work.

Thank you,

David Beauchamp

Attention: Mr. D. McKee

I would like to take this opportunity to thank yourself and your staff for the pleasurable experience I encountered while shopping for my new motor home at your fine location.

In the past I have purchased and owned several motor homes (none of which were from The Hitch House). On all occasions I was some what disappointed with the quality, but extremely disappointed with the after sales service I received at other well known dealerships.

In my estimation your company has taken owning a motor home to a new level, the unit I purchased was an Intruder by Damon, the quality, ride, layout and dollar value were far superior to other more expensive motor homes I was also looking at. Your salesmen were extremely courteous and knowledgeable and the deal that we made was the deal that we kept, all of the items that were verbally discussed were in place at the time of delivery.

Your service department spent a great deal of time with me explaining the many features of the motor home to me. On several occasions either by phone or in person when I needed some advice they went out of their way to accommodate me and answer any questions I had. Recently I stopped into your dealership to see about winterizing my unit. To my amazement your Service Manager, Mark, offered to send someone with me to pick up the unit for me and bring it back to your dealership. Due to the fact that all of your service staff were busy your Service Manager came with me and picked up my motor home in person.

In conclusion I would like to recommend your first class dealership and staff to others because your highly competitive pricing and incredible after sales servcie made me realize how in these changing times you have been in business for 31 years.

Yours sincerely,

Nigel Squirrell

Hey Big Al !!!

We're in Parksville, Vancouver Island at a beautiful resort with clubhouses, pool, hot tub, everything you could want for the winter except palm trees, sun and high temperatures. Who am I kiddding? I want the last three. But we are settled in and we have had quite a few sunny days in a row. In all, this place gets no snow and there are plenty of places to go and lots to see. One would believe that the Surfside RV Resort was developed by Americans by it's appearance. Beautifully landscaped with paved roads, concrete and interlocking sites. We look right out our front windshield at the Georgia Strait just 20 feet away with Killer Whales and seals.

The coach perfomed perfectly all across the U.S. You were right, Al. This buggy can flatten the Rockies like you wouldn't believe. We cruised along Interstate 90 without a single problem. The toughest part of the trip was crossing the Columbia River region outside Spokane, Washington. We had a cross-head wind of about 50 to 60 mph steady! The old girl handled the wind and the uphill with little effort. Most C classes and gas A classes and fifth wheels pulled over along the way but we just kept truckin' along. The big awning started to flap a little so I pulled into the first service station and tucked in behing the building long enough to unfurl and refurl the awning. I tied it off on both ends and it was fine for the duration of the trip.

Marilyn & I both love it out here now that we have decided not to travel in the States for awhile. The dollar is so bad and the political and economic climates are not what we are looking for right now. We're joining the Schooner Cove Yacht Club tonight as we are being sponsored by friends we sailed with on Lake Ontario. They now live full time in Nanoose Bay outside Nanaimo. They might have an easy time convincing us to stay out here for a year ot two. We get a lot of looks at the coach since it is the biggest one in the resort and in any other resorts we've looked in. She sure looks good, Al. We're very happy with her and the great service we get from all the folks in Barrie. We always talk you guys up wherever we go.

Say Hi to everyone at The Hitch House and we hope you don't get too much snow (unless you ski...). Havin' a Ball !!!!

Dear Mark:

Please accept our "good guy" award as a token of our sincere appreciation for all your help during our recent visit to your area. It was the finest example of customer service we had ever seen. You are truly a role model and an inspiration to your people. You can see it in the work they do. Please thank them again for their fine work.

We love our Triple E coach and thank you again for all your efforts in helping us get through the paper work.

We are still planning to revisit your area in October and will stop to say hello. We will call a few days in advance.

Warmest regards,

Richard & Ruth

Dear Sir:

During the past summer I have taken my Rexhall Vision to your dealership three or four times for warranty work. On each occasion the work was either done to our satisfaction or we were advised of the need to return for later servicing (e.g. authorization from Rexhall).

When the work was done, it was well done! And when we looked through your store, it was well stocked with an interesting variety of goods.

The personnel in your service department were excellent. They knew their work, and they were very courteous and showed us the utmost consideration. They were also quite helpful in explaining the functions and limitations of some of the electrical system.

I must also point out that we appreciated the courtesy shown by everyone else in your establishment, including the people in sales and in the parts department.

You can be proud of your people and the way they do business. We will recommend your dealership to everyone!

Yours truly,

A. Winkworth

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for everything that has been done for us.

-Al and Joan for their guidance and lovely gift bag
-Dave for making it possible for us to get on our way with one less worry.
-Mark, Jackie and all the service people for their patience and assistance in
explaining and fixing our problems.
-Hiedi for being there so many times to listen and encourage when it was so needed.
-And anyone else who helped in any way.

Our road was bumpy on Tuesday but with everyone at The Hitch House helping, we're sure the road will smooth out and we'll enjoy another 13+ years of RVing.

Sincerely,

Mary & Jim Harding

Congratulations to the owner and staff of The Hitch House.

We recently purchased a 20 yr. old Centurian motorhome from you. You listened to our concerns. You looked for our price range, and I may add came in $3000 less. You certified it and delivered it on time and we drove away happy.

We had a small problem in route to Niagara Falls, you made arrangements to get us home (which we didn't need). We have had our motorhome into the shop six times and you have repaired it six times at no charge.

Your staff have always been polite and understanding.

As you can imagine, I was very nervous paying out nearly 17 thousand dollars without any warranty, but a salesman's word that his boss would look after us and I thank God believed him.

If a written guarantee or warranty was honored one half as much as your salesman's word, that you would look after us, I personally prefer your way. What happened to the good old fashion handshake? Nothing. If you are dealing with The Hitch House!

Thank you, I would and have recommended you to anyone - anytime.

Shirley & Stephen King

Dear Paul and all others at The Hitch House,

Thank you so much for helping us get our R.V. back on the road in working condition. We are back in the States, N.Y., visiting with family.

While we were staying with you folks you showed us the utmost courtesy. You treated us all with kindness and respect and got us back on the road. You will all be a large part of our fond memories of Canada.

Many thanks and blessings!
