Marianne Edwards - Boondockers Welcome

My husband and I began RVing in 2000 when we tested our relationship with a year-long trip in a small Class B motorhome. The relationship survived and, since then, we've continued to travel for five or six months at a time, every couple of years. This requires some careful budgeting and we became skilled at finding free places to park for a night or two on route to our favorite destinations: the National Parks of the southwestern United States. In 2007, in response to questions from family and friends, I wrote a series of guides for RVing in those regions and started my first web site, www.frugal-rv-travel.com.

We meet a lot of fellow RVers on our travels and are often invited to visit them if ever we are in their area. Of course we extend the same invitation and have hosted many new friends on our property in southern Ontario. It occurred to me that knowing fellow RVers all across the country would be very convenient and I came up with the idea of establishing an online network of like-minded RVers. My dream came to fruition in 2012 with the help of my daughter, Anna Maste, who provides the technical brains behind the web site, www.boondockerswelcome.com.

Through Boondockers Welcome, we hope to facilitate lasting friendships and driveway-parking invitations between RVers across North America and all over the world - providing an easy way to meet and connect with each other along any route you choose to travel.
